| - I recently visited GFS Marketplace for the second time before hosting a large, 30 guest party at my house. I highly recommend shopping at GFS before hosting such large events or if you have a family of 8 or more people...
There are several differences between Sam's Club/Costco and GFS. GFS does not require any sort of annual membership, which is nice. However, the store is only the size of a drug store and has a very limited selection of primarily generic items. Though Sam's Club and Costco sell large quantities of products, they often bundle several of a normal sized product so that you can keep the other items fresh (think peanut butter, cereal, brownie mix, etc). However, from what I've seen, GFS only sells items in massive containers and quantities, not separated out into small portions. Because of this, shopping at GFS for a small family is nearly impossible. The items sold at GFS are also more restaurant, event, and party focused than their competitors Sam's Club and Costco.
