  • Gotta love Nouveaux Couture Consignment in Ballantyne Village! I have been consigning clothing since my Manhattan days and as we moved around Charlotte (Uptown, South Park and now Ballantyne). Nouveaux has got to be my favorite shop to do business with yet! For those of you familiar with the consignment routine, you know these shops are often disorganized, items frequently get lost (ok, that can happen anywhere, but I had one shop down here lose track of multiple designer items!), items are often way underpriced just to "move product", and most take 60% of the sale. Then there is Nouveaux. Owner/manager, Carly, totally has her act together. She knows what's selling and what is not at any given time and will ask you to bring something back at a time she believes she can sell it at a reasonable amount for all concerned. She also takes only 50% of the sale leaving the consignee a full 50%. The shop is organized and set up beautifully with a mix of fashions to please a variety of women. Go, Carly!
