| - My husband and I lived at the Fairways from February 2015 to October 2016. We chose this property for its location; it is close to 485 and a short walk to the Piper Glen shops and greenway. The location is pretty much the only positive thing about this complex.
There isn't nearly enough space given here to thoroughly ascribe our experience at the Fairways. Below is a link to my thorough review (on Facebook).

If you don't feel like reading pages worth of true stories, however, here is a quick summary. The management is poor at doing their job and often behave rudely and unprofessionally. There are cockroaches everywhere -more than is normal for living in the south east. The apartments are old and worn, have mold problems, and may have faulty wiring (like ours did). There isn't much insulation; you can hear your neighbors' sneezes, coughs, and conversations (and footsteps if they live above you!). The appliances are old and don't work well. Work orders take 6 to 10 days to be addressed. There is no air conditioning in the gym and the pool is typically populated by non-residents. The price jumps significantly if you renew your lease (in our experience, $70 after the first year). If you live there and move out, don't expect your deposit back; rather, expect to be charged for most or all of it for things that may or may not be your fault. You may even be charged for something that is fraudulent (for instance, a carpet cleaning, despite the fact that the carpets are changed between tenants).
When we found a house we liked, broke our lease, and got the heck out of there. My advice is stay far, far away from this place!
