I had the most difficult, time-consuming shopping experience ever. The self-checkout register was dysfunctional and failed to accept any cards, swiped or through chip. The associate nearby watched me swipe and use the chip several times to no avail, yet did nothing more than just... stand there. I happened to be lucky enough to carry some cash on me, but I ended up having to put off buying some supplies because I expected to pay the huge sum with card, not cash. When I asked to void the items I didn't want to buy, the associate simply ignored me until I took my items to another self-checkout register. Um, what? So I have to physically go out of my way to carry all of my items to another register in order to get help? I honestly don't understand why Smith's would go out of its way to make it more difficult for me to buy more from them, but I will not be shopping at Smith's anymore.
...And I still have to buy the rest of my supplies from a different store.
