  • Genuinely nice people. Very small salon, and I like it that way! Not every girl feels comfortable laying her head bare in a stranger's hands, and the last thing I need or want to pay for is attitude! Unfortunately, Montreal is overrun with hairstylists who think they are God's gift to mankind. It's just hair, peeps! Monokrome understands this and sits right in the middle of making you feel pretty and glam and not a caricature of oneself or yes, a poodle. They are chill, their prices are right, and they get the job done, no fuss! The owners are super sweet, and Kelly, the other stylist there, is always bubbly and nice. I've tried many salons over the years, and Monokrome makes me feel pretty whenever I leave, yet without the cringe factor of having had to sit through a dissertation on how gifted my stylist is and how lucky I am to sit in his/her chair!
