I came here as this was the 2nd stop of our Pittsburgh Food tour and it was really lovely. The original family running this store is no longer there, but the folks currently running the place are still using the original recipes.
Our tasting here consisted of a plain biscotti (pretty decent) and a thumb print cookie. I also spotted pizzelles, cannoli and tons of other traditional Italian desserts.
There's such a variety of stuff and everything tasted very local and home made. However if you have been to Italy, you can totally tell that the stuff sold here is a bit more Americanized in taste and that's not a bad thing, but just a heads-up in case you decide to bring your visiting Italian cousins.
Another thing that did get get me excited was that they were selling Tarrone imported from Rome, since when I was here, it was around Easter time.
