| - I was really looking forward to Yelp Restaurant week and had picked out all the places I was going to go.
Instead I got stick that week and really didn't move from the couch too much. I still wasn't feeling 100% at the end of the week, but I'd felt so cooped up we decided to hit up one of the Yelp restaurants on the list: Kid Cashew.
Some of our friends live near the restaurant so we met up with them at an off time: 3 pm. I didn't want to deal with crowds or craziness while I wasn't feeling my best and this time was perfect. There were a decent amount of people there, but by no means was it packed.
We ordered the butternut squash hummus to start. You know that drooling emoji? Yeah. Go ahead and insert that here. I've been thinking about that hummus a decent amount since then. I highly recommend it. I ordered the chicken gyro, my boyfriend ordered the lamb gyro, my friends ordered the veggie gyro and the avocado. All looked amazing. Mine - the chicken gyro - was insanely messy to eat, but still yummy. I didn't love the couple of bones I found in it, but I did know it was pulled chicken so I'm honestly not sure what I expected. The chips were also delightful. We ordered brussel sprouts which were also pretty delicious. Honestly though, with an appetizer and the meal, we didn't need the side. I was super full and my boyfriend and I had split the appetizer and side, but it honestly was just too full to finish them.
I can't wait to go back and sit on their patio! The weather was gross when we went, but I have high hopes for when the weather turns I want to go back. Plus, since their menu is seasonal I'll be interested in going back - even at full price. I've actually been thinking about that hummus since I went so....you know I'll be back to try more.
