Don't believe the hype!
I'm a carnivore that is still impressed by a great vegan or vegetarian meal. I gave Pomegranate several opportunities to see why it was ranked at 4 stars. The final time was the last straw. This place failed on all accounts.
This review is for the last time I was there for breakfast, which was a few months back.
1) The prices are way too high. For some reason, restaurant owners seem to do this to make patrons feel like it is higher quality. Far from it in this case.
2) The food took forever!!! It wasn't that crowded. But they had plenty of staff and it's not incredibly involved food to make. Most of it is not even cooked!
3) Even though we were there for ages, we were rarely checked on by our waitress.
4) By the time our food showed up, it was cold! I'm not a huge fan of cold scrambled eggs.
5) This last part still blows my mind. My girlfriend ordered a blended drink with her meal. Several sips in she had a major reaction. She grabbed her mouth in pain. There was a sharp plastic shard in her drink that sliced into her gums. I asked for a manger who explained that it was probably from the container of one of the ingredients. She then proceeded to give us a gift card that had $25 written on it. She did not offer to cover our $70 breakfast!!! The real kicker is that we went to redeem the card later on 2 frozen drinks only to find out that the gift card value was only $15 even though she had written $25 on the card. The drinks that we ordered were both so gross, that we threw them out.
Trust me, don't believe the hype. Just because it's trendy, doesn't mean it's good.
