Recently I discovered an injured bird by my home. I wanted to help, but didn't know what to do.
I searched on line and found this place. After following their instructions on line, I put the bird in a ventilated box and took it to their office.
Already anxious about the whole situation, I had no idea what to expect when I got there because I have never rescued a wild animal before.
I discovered...
1. Some of the nicest people on earth who truly care for local wildlife. They told me the type of bird and gave me helpful tips for the next time I discover injured wildlife.
2. An amazingly clean facility that has a viewing window where you can see some of the rescued animals.
3. Professionalism and knowledge about local wildlife that gave me a deeper respect for animals and the great people who care for them.
4. A board at the desk that tells you the type and number of animals they have rescued this year.
Toronto is very fortunate to have a place like this. I am on board!
