| - This was easily the best car purchasing experience I've ever had, hands down.
Me and my girlfriend went in for a used Honda Civic that we scoped out on their easy-to-use website after an painless credit pre-approval. I suggest you set an appointment first before visiting, so you can bypass the hounding salesman upon entry, which we did. Our appointment was with a helpful, and not imposing, salesman named Ted who carefully went over the car details and helped us get a payment within our budget. I want to emphasize *not imposing* because previous experiences I've had with other dealership salesman were stressful and downright unpleasant. However, this was not the case here. Armed with a friendly demeanor, a no-nonsense work ethic and a cup full of delicious candy, Ted smoothed out the otherwise bumpy car purchasing process into a enjoyable experience. We test drove the car and got the documents finalized in no time.
(1.5 hours later we were in the finance office.)
Our finance representative, Mike, was absolutely phenomenal. Not only did he crack jokes to lighten up the monotony of paperwork, but was very helpful in providing us warranty/security options. In the past, the financing process had been brutal, high-pressured and just plain boring. This was not the case with Mike. His sense of humor and witty banter helped keep the energy high whilst providing us everything we need to know about the vehicle we purchased. Not to mention he fed me and my starving girlfriend. Not once did I feel uncomfortable or stressed while in his office nor did I ever drop my smile because he was so personable. After the signature process and one of the firmest handshakes I've ever felt in my life, we were out of the dealership with a new car that was cleaned, detailed and fully filled with gas compliments of the dealership.
All in all, we had an very good experience at Honda West. The gentleman that assisted us were of top-quality and the car is as smooth as the process was. As we left the dealership I said but one thing to my girlfriend..
"Why can't all car buying experiences be like this?"
