I finally moved out of San Carlos because they do in fact have a mold issue. My husband ended up getting really sick from the mold and had to spend a lot of time in the hospital because of it. They wouldn't release the test results on the mold inspection to me. Shortly after, I insisted they go through inspections from a company that isn't through their management company, and I will pay for the inspector if there are no real threats, they happily let me move out asap after that request. This is an issue in almost all of their apartments according to neighbors around the complex. They are scamming people into moving in at a "great monthly deal" because "their landlord just wanted to fill out the complex asap." Don't fall for their marketing attempts, what they are doing violates health code standards. They will cover up the mold with paint or cut off the drywall that showed the damage, but never actually fixed the main issue. So if your apartment has a leak coming from the roof, instead of repairing the roof, the drywall, and putting in new non contaminated insulation, they just replace the drywall that has water marks or paint over it. They don't even put fans in the rooms to remove the moisture out of the walls first before repairing the drywall. The apartments they are renting at a monthly deal are the apartments with mold issues. They are charging less for them because no one will stay in them. Several of my neighbors lost all of their furniture and even their cars because they got contaminated with mold. The post after my review is a fake post to bring their ranking back up. Please review this site before moving in.
