A group of us dined at The Breadfruit during a conference. If there were a plethora of choices downtown, we may not have tried it but we are glad we did!
We had no problem getting a table relatively late on a Tuesday night. The restaurant is not particularly large for dining indoors and the outdoor space was closed. There is a small and cozy bar area.
The menu is varied with some traditional Jamaican/Caribbean dishes like jerk spiced chicken, fish cooked in a banana leaf and curried goat. We were pleased to also find two creative vegetarian dishes. The preparation is upscale - this is not your hole-in-the-wall kind of place. The cocktails are limited to rum drinks (including some classics made with rum) and a couple of beers.
The service was attentive and friendly. If I were in the area again on business, I'd definitely check out Breadfruit again.
