  • Walked in by chance with my family while looking for a lunch spot on State Street and became interested because of the photos of the pizza and other food as you walk in. As we approached the counter, there was no one to help us - and there was one person, a cook, way in the back cooking something. He then saw us and came out. The menu was quite confusing - having columns of stuff you were supposed to put together yourself and for some reasons, there were two sides that had the items arranged in different sequences. I gave up and just asked him how we order and we just ended up order the "pre-configured" items. On wondering into the drink and dining area - my stomach sank. The drink area was filthy and the iced tea containers looked horrible - I was afraid to drink them not knowing what was in them. Looking around the dining room - the carpeting was FILTHY and the tables were mostly not cleaned. There was ZERO atmosphere - reminded me of a chucky-Cheese or something. There were few decorations on the wall except for one area where there were a couple of scary family photos and kids drawings from 20 or more years ago. Once I got my goat cheese and sun dried tomato pizza, I calmed down a bit. I was impressed by the pizza crust - and the goat cheese tomatoes went well together. Tasted pretty good. Unfortunately, It ended there. My daughters Chicken Alfredo pasta was a dark orange tint - and it just didn't look right. I tasted it and it was just OK - my daughter was so turned off by the looks of it, she refused to eat it. My wife ordered the Margarita pizza. The crust was great - but there was little cheese - and the tomatoes where big chunks of quartered whole tomatoes that were apparently added after the pizza was cooked. Too bad because no one wants to just bite into a big fat cold tomato. From the standpoint of the food - they have a great concept - but just can't execute. Slicing the tomatoes thinly and applying before the pizza was cooked would solve the problem for that dish. Making a fresh batch of Alfredo sauce daily would also be an easy fix for the pasta - and cleaning the place, putting new carpeting, and hiring an interior designer would also fix those things. Too bad, because if there were a bit of care put into this place, it might be good.
