  • The Delano formerly known as TheHotel is an additional tower connected to the Mandalay Bay resort. The Delano rooms are pretty much a mirror image of the Mandalay bay, the main difference is the building is smaller so you don't have to worry about having a room that's at the end of a football field size hallway. We had a 1 bedroom suite connected next door to our friends standard room. Both rooms had your standard amenities, no refrigerator, or microwave in the suite, the bathroom itself was pretty big with separate shower & tub. Despite the Delano being the same as the Mandalay bay there are a few perks, since the Delano technical isn't a casino you don't have to worry about the valet area being full like the Mandalay bay gets because of people coming to check out a club or the casino. The valet for the Delano has its own area and is only for hotel guest, & they also have their own section in the pool area so if the Mandalay bay beach is too packed you can go to the Delano pool & find a spot. Even though the Delano isn't considered a casino the lobby is right down the hall from the back of the Mandalay bay casino near the spots book & poker room which is also right next to the "shopping mall" walk way that connects to the Luxor casino. The restaurants here are standard dine restaurants like the MGM but if you're in the mood for some food court style fast food you can take a 10 minute walk through that "mall" walk way that leads to the Luxor, go right through the Luxor to the walk way that leads next door to the Excalibur & you got all the over priced hotdog on a stick & Popeyes type of food that you were craving.
