| - I've been very satisfied with my experience here. I was a little skeptical given some of the one-star reviews, and because of those reviews I've just been careful to write down names of who I've talked to and make sure I understand billing details, etc. I came in on a Living Social deal and certainly expected a sales pitch since that's kind of the point, but it was honestly quite low key and low pressure. I felt like it would have been easy to say no thanks, and that was my intention when I went in.
Then, I had a massage with Sharin and it was amazing. I have chronic pain in my hip and lower back and jaw pain issues as well, and she is able to work on those areas in very specific ways and with good pressure. I leave feeling immediate and lasting relief.
I've never had any issues with noises from other rooms or adjoining businesses. I do go in the morning so there is less activity I'm sure. Sharin runs a fan so that's some nice white noise, and I like that the sounds playing over the speaker aren't just some meditation music on loop, but an actual variety of music and sounds that really let me zone out. Sharin is professional and really pays attention to the areas that we discuss beforehand. I've been to her three times now, and each time she's given me a full hour massage as well - doesn't let the consultation and prep time take minutes away from the actual massage.
When Leah, the manager, told me about the membership deal, I was actually surprised at the value for the first six months. Discounted prices, one free massage, household members getting the same pricing, and the ability to put it on hold since I will be traveling this fall. Again, I actually didn't feel like there was any pressure at all, and I went in super on guard for the pitch.
If this was just a review for Sharin it'd be getting five stars hands down. Going with four for the business for two reasons: 1. My first membership payment was charged the wrong amount and on the wrong day (two weeks early) - however, I called with my concerns and they called me back later the same day, fixed it, and apologized. 2. Once the membership hits the normal price after the first six months, I feel like it is going to be a little too expensive. $69 for an hour and then with tip is getting close to the $100 range which is on par what I would expect to pay as a walk-in, but not really sure where the value lies in being a member at that point.
