| - I own a home in a Camco HOA gated property in Summerlin. Camco has been the managing HOA for well over ten years, I think, so I suppose you could say we have a history.
Our neighborhood is pretty conhesive compared to many with a neighborhood Facebook page and has evenly kind comaraderie amongst neighbors in general. Every now and then there is some dust up over an issue or two that involves Camco where people become disgruntled (broken front gate that needs repair, modifying budget to fix something, security monitoring, etc), because I see it all over our neighborhood Facebook page when there is.
From my personal experience, including a recent e-mail interaction with Velvet Stacy to make an update to our account that she solved quickly and efficiently, I have been satisfied with Camco. I have found that as long as I personally have the proper e-mails, contact names and phone numbers of our neighborhood's point person at Camco, I can usually solve any issue I am personally addressing (parking permit, billing issue, e-mail update, neighbor question, board meeting inquiry, etc).
Not sure if I have ever heard anyone utter a word of praise about any HOA mangement company out there (people are more are apt to complain about them versus sing their praise), but I think I am OK is saying that Camco is satsifactory in my expectation of an HOA.
