  • I stayed here for 5 nights during a business trip, based entirely on the solid rating this hotel receives on Priceline. After spending all day in the Oakland airport after having my flight canceled, I had visions of the clean, relaxing room I would eventually arrive to after getting to Scottsdale. When I came in, there was no one at the counter, and after looking around in the back to see if there was anyone, I was eventually able to get the attention of someone hanging out in the back area. Guess they didn't hear me come in. I had to go back out to get my plate # from my rental car, for the form they had me fill out when I arrived. I was eventually given the keys, and walked into one of the shittiest rooms I've ever been in, and that's counting the dozens of Motel 6's I've stayed in. The carpets looked like they'd been on the floor of the DMV for 30 years; threadbare and filthy. The bathroom and curtains were in a state of disrepair, and the AC emitting a loud death rattle after years of abuse in the Arizona heat. I immediately went downstairs and let them know that I needed to sleep, and couldn't handle the rattling AC. The gentleman at the counter offered to let me pay for an upgraded room (which I declined), before giving me a different room. I tried for a refund, but with all 3rd-party reservations, refunds are literally impossible. Don't even try. Fortunately my new room had an AC unit from within the last 30 years, and I was able to salvage my sanity. Still, avoid the carpets. The breakfasts aren't anything to write home about, but the pool was nice and heavily underused by others staying in the hotel. I'll be avoiding this place for future travel, but if you just need a place to crash with wifi and aren't very picky, this will be ok.
