I original signed up with living social. I signed up with Spondooly Seats mainly looking for the NYC shows. I browsed some of the events they had listed and decided to try it out. I reserved two tickets to Stand Up NY. The show was at 10:15 and Godfrey was the comedian being advertised. When I reserved the tickets the fine print said how to get them, which was to go to the venue and let them know I Rsvp with Spondooly and it clearly stated I wouldn't have to purchase anything. As a Spondooly member I wouldn't be exempt from required purchases. So I invited a guest to come along with me. The show starts and we go up to the gentleman checking guests in. I let him know my name and that I have a reservation with Spndooly. He had absolutely no idea what Spondooly was. I showed him my confirmation e mail and he wanted to charge us twenty dollars. I literally held up the line trying to explain to the owner about Spondooly and how my tickets were supposed to be complimentary. But seeing how they only had 10 people in the audience he said ok come on in. But he let us know Godfrey would not be performing he cancelled. So far that's strike two for Spondooly. And I'm embarrassed in front of strangers and my guest haggling to get into the show, to find out the comedian we drove miles to see cancelled. We sit down and immediately we're told we HAVE to order minimum 18 dollars worth of drinks each. I have absolutely no desire to go through the haggle of using this site ever again. I ended up spending way more money which defeats the purpose of this site and my living social deal. It felt like a scam. And it was embarrassing.
