I love Chipotle. I get it once a week. A vast majority of the time, my experiences are fast and efficient. That being said...where the heck did they find this rag-tag group of workers?
I went with my other half to pick up a couple of burritos for dinner. It was around 9:15pm when we got there. There was hardly any line. There was hardly anything prepared on the line. No white rice, no onions and peppers, no steak, and a bunch of missing salsas. The line was very understaffed. There is usually one person on the start and another on the salsa and "condiment" section.
There was only one girl running back and forth between areas like a chicken missing its head. There was one person behind the line that was getting everything cut up and he was the only quiet one. There was at least another 7 people behind the line talking about things (very loudly, I might add) that were inappropriate for the workplace. The cashier was very whiny and kept asking her coworkers to do everything for her.
Usually, I can get out of a Chipotle in less than 5 minutes from start to finish...we were in there for more than 15-20 minutes for two burritos. I understand it was getting close to closing time...but there's no excuse for being that disorganized.
