Babcock Ice Cream is a Madison and UW Campus staple, especially in the summer. It was great to finally be able to see the "behind the scenes" workings during this tasty tour. The public storefront is cute, and provides historical boards on the history of the dairy and Babcock Hall. The store offers sandwiches, cheese, and their ice cream flavors (including to go prepacked items) and has outdoor seating to enjoy your tasty treats. They're planning to renovate the store front so stay tuned!
The tour is rather short, but you get a birds-eye view of the various processes involved in making ice cream, cheese and whey-packed drinks. If you like fresh ice cream, it's worth a visit if you're on campus.
