  • MacAlpine's is a fun place for lunch, dessert, or just vintage shopping. The vintage soda fountain/ restaurant is welcoming and authentic. This place feels like it should belong in an older city; a rare find for Phoenix. Specialty soda fountain and ice cream items are what to come for; they do these well. Lunch is acceptable, but not exciting by any means. I find the food here to be bland and uninspiring, but not terrible. This place would be well served by a menu redesign. Nevertheless, I love the atmosphere, and will likely return for the nostalgic factor.
