  • If you like tasty vegetable/vegetarian dishes, The Green Owl is not the place for you. The owner stubbornly refuses to offer much more than fake meat entrees. I suppose she doesn't need to, as she seems to be successful with her would-be carnivore dishes. Not wanting one of those, I, as a vegetarian --near vegan-- ordered the Mediterranean plate/platter, which was barely recognizable as such. Much better vegetarian food can be found nearby at Bunky's, The Weary Traveler and Monty's Blue Plate. And at The Green Owl, you're going to pay inflated prices. Very dubiously, I gave it a second try, and my dining companion and I disliked it as much as the first time. I would never go back or recommend that anyone eat at TGO.
