I went here with a group of friends for an introductory lesson and day pass ($45) who were (mostly) new to rock climbing and our instructor, Athena, was great! She ran us through the knots and safety procedures extremely well and it took approx. 2 hours. It was a great experience and fun. There were also kids there for a birthday party that were so encouraging to one another that it was adorable ("You can do it! It's OKif you let go as long as you tried your best!").
It is a bit small compared to other rock climbing gyms and the couches were worn out to death. There was a raggity plastic cover on the floor in front of the water fountain (to prevent the floor padding from soaking up water no doubt so it wasn't the most aesthetically looking place. Also, one of the workers at the counter was a bit of a jerk as he kept yelling at my friend to check-in while she was taking off her jacket/bags and putting them in a cubby. Did he think we were just going to start climbing?
Despite the cosmetics and a solo worker, it was really fun and I would go again!
