| - As a last minute decision, my husband decided to book us a table at a night club for our quick 2 day trip to sin city. We have had our share of experiences in vegas clubs and always heard great things about Tao. Since it was a Thursday, we were able to get a table with bottle service with no real hassle.
That night, we were told explicitly to be a the door at 9 to get to our table. When we arrived at 9 we were told to come back at 10. So that's a whole additional hour we could have used if we would have known. Returning at 10 we were carded and taken to our table. Up to this point, all the staff we dealt with were all very friendly and talkative. We were feeling pretty positive. As our host lead the way our disappointment grew. He took us to the second floor, pointed out the dance floor, yet we kept walking right past all the VIP tables. Finally, he led us downstairs to an additional bar that was tucked away behind the restaurant. There was our table. Not really what we had in mind. Our table waitress was also very friendly and attentive through the night. We got comfortable, poured a drink and decided to make the best of it.
The area we were in ended up being awful. There was no dance floor, no real designated place for people to mingle, which left an odd crowd kind of just hanging around. After a bit, we decided to go upstairs to check out the scene. Yet, each time we tried to step foot on the dance floor a large bouncer asked for our wristbands. We didn't have any. We were left very confused. We had paid for a table and bottle service, yet we never even danced for one minute the whole night. Once 4am rolled around, we couldn't wait to leave.
I really dont see what all the hype is about. Even the upstairs couldn't compare to many other clubs I have been too. I seriously suggest passing on this one.
