  • I hope the owner of Ellis Island reads this. On two occasions my family has driven 15 miles to eat at your Café, once at 8:30 pm and once at 9:15 pm. We went there because the Café is advertised as being open 24/7. We were told on the first visit that 'we are closed for 1-1/2hours due to shift change (really...most restaurants and casinos deal rather well with shift change and still service the customers). On the second occasion we were told 'we are closed for the next two hours to clean the kitchen' (really, since you are supposed to be open 24/7, wouldn't 2am be a better time to close down and clean the kitchen?). My husband and I decided we won't be back. How many other customers are driving elsewhere looking for something decent to eat because your Café has such poor management?
