| - Overall, not a terrible place to live. There are a lot of grocery stores and restaurants near by. However, that part of Mesa is turning a little more ghetto and a little bit sketchier day by day. It's also annoying that you have to make a U turn to get into the apartment if you're coming from the North.
I am the first in my unit (which is nice - no "icky" feeling of people living there before!). I recommend coming here with the expectations of a few things:
-Terrible customer service. The women in the office will tell you anything to get you to move in, but once you move in you're screwed. I have emailed and talked to them in person about a broken appliance dozens of times with hardly any response. Just a, "Oh the maintenance guy will come and fix it Monday" - nope. Still not fixed (this happened about a year ago). I feel like a burden anytime I go in to the office and can sense the feeling that the employees are thinking, "Ugh. A resident needing something - what now?!"
Bad parking/warning on cars. As mentioned in other posts, the parking spots are very tight in the first section of the covered area - the rest seem to be OK. Another comment mentioned that they received a warning sticker for backing in but no one else had one - same here. Don't understand why they're out to get the two of us!
The amenities: the good and the bad. The pool is always clean and usually empty. No complaints here. The gym is also normally clean and empty, but some of the treadmills are starting to break. (Sort of expected in an apartment gym, in my opinion).
Parcel pending. Probably one of the coolest things I've ever used! I'm not sure I can explain it very well, but basically if you get a package delivered, it will go to a locker (you receive code on your phone) and you can pick it up 24/7. I definitely feel like every apartment should get this!
Dog park. Small gate around a small area with some small soiled fake grass patches. Sad!
Overall, if you aren't looking to live in a 5 star apartment, I say move in, but with the expectations that the customer service is awful. The parking, gym and dog park are all annoying, but shouldn't be a make it or break it. But if you do want coherent, polite, and non-sassy customer service, look elsewhere.
