| - I'm kind of surprised to see no reviews for this WFCC. ( sorry this review is way longer than I anticipated )
I've had a membership here since February, and my experience has been great here, although there are definitely some negatives about this location.
I usually go to the gym after work..so between 5-7pm which is often a busy time at the gym ( I learned from my many years of GoodLife gym experience.. ) Although here, busy does not feel busy. I have not had to wait for any weights or machines to use for my workouts.
From what I have noticed, most women who join this gym only go to the classes, and don't actually work out in the gym. There are a lot of classes everyday, starting from early in the morning till around 9pm some days.. which leads to my first negative- the tiny parking lot.
Not even going to lie, some days I have just left due to the fact there were no parking spots available. The times when a class is about to start are the busiest, so I try to time myself to be there a few mins before in order to grab a spot before the rush. Parking lot is shared with the sushi joint next door which has reserved spots, I've never risked parking there, you know... Just in case.
Equipment / Space ; all the cardio machines you need are there, they have a smaller weight section which is seldom busy ( = awesome), there is the group room with a crazy amount of classes daily ( I will post the schedule ) and another smaller room with boxing gloves + dummy, TRX cables (love those), kettle bells and more weights.
As for the machines, I am personally disappointed there is no lat pull down. Beyond that, you've got your standard variety of leg/arms/squat machines.. But they are 'designed for women to be more comfortable' so feels a little different than the unisex GoodLife equipment.
2nd downfall - no protein shakes or beverages or snacks! There is a vending machine with Gatorade and water ... But that's all. Luckily there's a convenience store next door so I can have my post workout chocolate milk fix.
Staff; I have met only 2 personal trainers who's names I have forgotten, but they were both incredibly helpful and not forcefully sales-esque. Which I appreciate to the moon and beyond.
The girls at the front desk are often friendly and helpful, although turnaround seems pretty high here.
Other amenities ; amazing sized change room with 3 U-shaped locker sections- no lock req, blow dryers, mirrors, a scale, bathrooms, big shower space, more mirrors and a small sauna, did I mention mirrors?
Price ; they always have promos going on, but you do have to pay a last month payment, plus they have a yearly admin fee (I think it was like 20$/yr)
I was on a no contract monthly plan which was costing me 29$ biweekly, and my upfront payment when I signed up was around 90$.
Now it's summer and who wants to be in the gym, so I changed my membership to 6x a month for 13$ biweekly. They had a 10$/4x month offer as well.
Anyways, I personally feel more comfortable at a women's gym which is why I come here, and so far my experience has been pretty good. They have a few day free trial thing so if you are considering it, just doooo it!
