As a person who had never taken pilates before, I was a bit skeptical on what it would do for me. I had tried traditional weight lifting and other exercises in the past with little results. I also experienced some long-term pain in my leg, due to a previous surgery. Pilates was recommended, in order to create balance, and strengthen muscles.
Wes (the trainer and owner) was great. He provided ample instruction, explaining why the motions were necessary and how they would benefit me. He took his time with me.
The studio looked great, was in a convenient location, and there was ample parking. I feel more limber, my balance has improved, and have noticed that I've gotten a little slimmer! I'd definitely recommend Bird Dog to friends and wish Wes much success!
