  • The most ridiculous parking system that is so bad that it actually turns me off from wanting to go their star restaurant, Katsura. I've been going to the Weston Prince's Katsura restaurant for decades. They were bought out by an owner from overseas a while back and they implemented a digital parking system that "scans" your plate and when you patronize the hotel and it's restaurants they log your plate # and on the way out it is supposed to scan your plate to let you out. The system works 10% of the time. If you're lucky you get an attendant on the speaker system that will manually check your plate (sometimes challenging you) and then they "may" raise the bar. Even the restaurant staff have used expletives to describe the system and the fact that the owners will not listen to their complaints. It's awful especially when you've had a great meal and then on your way you have to back up and convince everyone behind you to also back up, go back into the hotel and find a staff person that can advocate on your behalf. It is about as logical as the sub-standard Chinese restaurant they have there that is reminiscent of a ghost town (despite the owners actually being from China). Their only saving grace it their JAPANESE restaurant which they should never ever lose otherwise there really will be no reason to ever go there.
