| - Initially I was going to try and leave a good review for this crappy dump of an apartment complex. At the time I was there the office staff was replaced and although they were still somewhat rude, they tried and can you blame someone for being in a bad mood working for such a horrendous apartment company?
I'll start with the good. The property grounds are normally attended to fairly well, except the back of the property which I'll go into. The part by the lake is serene and nice. Before the property company ran off the old staff, they were fairly decent to deal with. That's all I can say good about this place, besides the location is near all the shops you would need.
Now the bad. I don't even know where to begin. Once I came home and my sink was backed up with a stinky green slime that smelled like sauerkraut. So I call maintenance and they show up after about 40 minutes. The maintenance guy looks like a thug, who I wouldn't leave alone for a second. He can't fix it, so they call the plumber. After something equivalent to an exorcism in the kitchen and 2 hours of them drilling outside they finally unclog the filthy stench and the drain will pass. After that I never really wanted to cook in there again.
The back of the property is trashy and there's only a couple entrances into the building so you're constantly forced to walk through the nasty area, with trashy people hanging out. They smoke in the elevator, leave trash everywhere and are generally gross people, most anyone wouldn't want around. I'v heard several domestic abuse cases at all hours of the night outside the door. One night someone slammed into the wall outside my apartment so hard I woke up from a sleep thinking someone was busting the door down. All kinds of shady people and vehicles all hours of the night.
They neglected the laundry areas so badly and they were in such disrepair with water sitting on the floor and stench coming out of there I refused to even do laundry anywhere near that. After about 5 months they finally got around to fixing it and the stench with new washers. Gee thanks.
My biggest complaint is this. The management company is greedy, they don't give a damn and they will try whatever slimy way they can to keep your money or get out of paying your deposit back, because they have no character and they are shitty human beings. This takes the cake, the maintenance man came into the apartment left the fridge unplugged and got rotten chicken inside the fridge after a bunch of frozen ice melted inside the fridge when I called them to fix it. So after days of a disgusting rotting stench I tilt the fridge back and about a gallon of foul rotten water comes out of the fridge. I talk to the property and they remove the fridge and apologize. I don't hear anything else about it. After I move out, the new employee, after a month of ignoring my calls tells me they are going to need to charge me for this fridge. Are you kidding me? Off your own negligence? Then they wait until you've moved out and bring it up. Not at the time it happened, so spineless. Their excuse over the phone? I left some tomatoes and fruit in the fridge, so they're going to have to charge me 600 dollars for it. What a joke.
So fine if this is how they want to do business I'll see them in court and in addition to that I'm filing a complaint with the local housing authorities. I'm not going to tolerate this kind of BS from this trashy dump of an apartment complex trying to pretend they are a reputable company. The truth is they are nothing but greedy trash who treats their employees badly and that's why the turnover is so high and why the employees have such a rotten attitude because they are also treated badly by this second rate, bottom of the barrel, crap apartment complex.
