  • Red Rock Canyon is 14 miles out of vegas - Just go Out Charleston to the west till you see it. This is an overwhelmingly beautiful drive, (for Drivers), Climb (for rock Climbers) and great set of trails (for Hikers). The Visitor center has a very artistic descritpions of the desert and informative displays. I love this place. It is one of the most beautiful spots you could dream of in the desert. -- Drive slow, - Stop - Get out and look all directions - repeat! Did I say I love this place? this is the best 7 dollar value in all of vegas!
