| - I normally stay at Hilton and Marriott properties, and maybe I have just been spoiled? But I found this hotel to be awful. My first sign should have been the very old worn out shuttle van that came for pick up at the airport -- it really stood out in the line up of shuttles (in the worst way). But I tried to keep an open mind and waited until I got to my room to pass judgement on the hotel. The lobby seemed nice enough at check-in, and as I made my way down the hall, it just seemed a bit dated and low budget, but bearable. The room was quite gross. The carpet was dirty, the windows were filthy, one of the main light fixtures didn't work, the grout in the shower black in many places, there was a lot of splatter on the wall by the toilet, the cover on the air conditioner was broken, when I sat on the bed (I didn't dare lay on it) you could feel the springs... it was just awful. I couldn't get a refund for the night because I already checked in, but I was fortunately able to cancel the last couple nights of my reservation and got out of there immediately (having to pay for that room, plus my new room at a clean hotel). Maybe my room was just terrible, and the others are ok -- I don't know. I didn't speak to the management about it because I just wanted out of the building and didn't even want them to try to correct it at that point. But I personally would not recommend this to anyone. If you usually stay at a Motel 6 or Super 8 and spend $39 on a room, you might be quite pleased. However, don't expect the same thing you get at a name brand hotel -- they can't get away with selling a room like the one I checked into.
