  • I went into Chapman to purchase a new car. i had spoken with Al and Brenda prior to coming in, i also completed the online pre approval application. i was told come in they could definitely get me the car i wished with a trad in and the monthly payments i needed. I went there , they showed me car after car. Cars that weren't in my price range, cars they new i would not be able to get. I ended up leaving that day after being there for over 5 hours! I decided to give them another chance and went back the next week, Another 4 hours wasted. I was told approved that day for a mustang they had but at another lot. Then they showed me a mustang on their lot. When told them i wanted the other one all of a sudden i was not approved for that one. After 4 long hours i was told i approved for three different cars. a SUV and Malibu or a ford fusion. We took the Malibu. within one week we started having car troubles. The car stalled as we were driving down the freeway, 5 times in 4 weeks. After it had been in the service for repair two times at this point. So chapman decided to get me into another car, the problem for them was that apparently the finance company could only finance me for the Malibu. Eventually we decided to go with a Sonata and supposedly i was approved, however the finance company called me after that and wanted to finalize the loan for Malibu as they had to record of the Sonata. I decided to get my trade in back. i called told them to please have my car ready i gave them a hour and half notice. I had somewhere else to be. I got there the girl Ashley that was suppose to assist me and have my car there waiting was sitting out front having a break smoking a cigarette. She then looked surprised as to see us and then immediately got on her cell as to be calling someone about my car. Not even aknowledging us at all. I then started to walk away to find someone to go get my car. Ashley then came to find us. She explained that she spent all that time detailing the car i was suppose to pick up and that Brenda went to ER. How and why did she detail the car? I called told her i was picking my trade in back up and not buying a car. SO i say to her " are you going to get my car?" She said "yes" I said right now? she said NO tomorrow! What awesome customer service. I then had to tell her she didn't need to get smart with me. She went on to say how hard this deal had been for all of them at chapman. Excuse me? hard on her? This is her job , when her day is over she punches out. This has been hard on me as i was almost killed in this car! DO NOT GO HERE!
