  • Where do I start? I have been to this office 4 times over the past year to have my entire mouth redone which includes about 10 crown replacements and about 10 filling replacements and a root canal. I started a year ago and STILL have sensitivity that nobody can explain away. Every single time I've left the office, I've been left with careless cleanup meaning, there was still cement on my teeth that should have been smoothed out. I've even had sharp edges on my teeth and 3 out of the 4 visits, I've had to go back and have them finish the cleanup that should have been done the first time. On the 3 followup visit, Dr Berger made comments about my being a "problem client." Was he joking? He may have, but I took it seriously and not once has anyone there taken responsibility for lousy cleanup on my teeth or apologized for the problems that have occured unecessarily. I've had enough crowns in my life and I've NEVER had sensitivity a year later. I was in for my 4th visit last week to have 2 crowns replaced and 2 fillings replaced and I was sent off on my way with a big gaping hole between my temporary and my gums. Nobody even mentioned it to me and nobody explained WHY the big gaping hole. No communication whatsoever!!! I called the office with concerns for possible future infection. They asked for me to come back in so they could follow up with it. Why should I? So I could hear jokes again about my being a "problem client?" No thank you. By the end of the day, the hole seemed like it had closed up, but I was still concerned about infection since I had all day for food and germs to get trapped under my temporaries. Two days later, the utter pain got worse. Headaches wouldn't leave and I've had a low grade fever and complete weakness ever since. It's now been a week and I called the office this morning to have them prescribe antibiotics for me. Afterall, I wanted some relief. I wanted to get back to work and I certainly wanted this cleared up before my permanent crowns were set. They insisted I come into the office, but I am in NO position whatsoever to drive and I live alone with nobody to take me. I've been down in bed since and am in excruciating pain. They suggested I go to my primary care physician. Guess what? I don't have one and I don't have insurance. They still refused to call in a prescription. Also, every single visit, I am told, out loud so that everyone in the lobby can hear, that my bill is $3000 or higher. Not true. They get it wrong every time and we eventually have to sit down and get the figures down to what was agreed to since the very beginning with my discount program. I'm not happy. I'm discouraged and feel I have no support with this office and I still have to go back and get the permanent crowns set. Oh, one more thing. One of the crowns, I found out, was too small and there's a big gap between it and another tooth. Dr Berger stated he could build onto the tooth with the filling to fill in that gap. WHy not just correct it with the right size crown? Afterall, I've paid thousands of dollars to this office and cutting corners seems to be their first option. Once this last procedure is done, I have no intentions of going back and will let all of my friends and family know to never go there. I don't feel I've received the reception I've needed, nor have I been taken seriously. Their cleanup is messy and I feel they're more concerned about getting me out of the chair then letting me leave feeling confident that I don't need to come back so they can fix something they should have fixed in the first place. I don't appreciate being joked with by telling me I'm a "problem client." If I'm paying thousands, then do a good job the first time. I'm tired of the sensitivity even after a year and would love to enjoy eating a cold salad and even almonds. My attorney is reviewing this case for me at this time which DOES bring me some comfort.
