  • Went to Jay's tire shop because I needed an oil change on a Sunday and this was one of the very few shops open. I went looking for two used tires and an oil change. I have previously bought used tires for my VW beetle at another local tire shop for about $25 each. Here, I was quoted $80 for the tires, and $200 just for the labor on the oil change. This price didn't include the actual cost of the oil so once they sent someone to buy it (oil needed for my car was out of stock), they would adjust the price accordingly. I declined their services, bid them adieu and went to Firestone just a few streets away and got my oil change for $20.13!
