rev:text	You may think that going to a large chain will get you a great price and fast service - but that couldn't be further from the truth. I recently went to get a pair of glasses there, and first of all, the frames are not organized into type or section, so it's a bit difficult to find a frame for you. The real horror started once I received the glasses after 11 days being made. They were half frames, and the right lens was about half a centimetre wider than the left lens, which looked absolutely ridiculous, and is something that you would expect someone who creates glasses for a living would notice. Also, the lenses were not snugly fit into the frames, and there was a large gap between the lens and frame. Needless to say, I returned them and had them remake them. After 16 days, and a follow-up from me, the glasses were returned. They were about the same width now, but one of the lenses was cut more straight than the top of the frame, which caused a big gap between the lens and frame, through which I could slip a piece of paper. Needless to say, I had to get a refund on these glasses, and would be hard-pressed to find a reason to give them business again. Luckily, Bloor Optical down the street had great frames, much better prices (especially on lenses!!!) - overall, I saved money )even after Hakims 30% off) and ended up with dramatically thinner lenses. So, if you're planning to stop in at Hakim for new glasses, walk half a block east first and go to Bloor Optical :)
