| - My husband had his dental care through Impressions Dental since we moved here in 2005 until 2013, when I'd finally had enough. He'd seen Dr Wetteland, who previously owned the practice, and had no issues -- until the change of ownership to Dr Baker. Amazing how someone with no periodontal disease is suddenly told he has it! That was about 7 years ago.
So he went along with the diagnosis, which meant 3-4 visits a year with the insurance covering 1-2. At no time did he receive the deep scaling that periodontal patients require. Cleanings, in fact, were short! I paid close attention to the charges, too, after finding fluoride treatments that were not done applied to the bill, only to call & be told they've been removed. We're on a fixed income, so that extra yearly visit sure was expensive! Finally, I talked hubby into seeing my dentist about a year ago -- where we learned he has NO periodontal disease and now gets his exams & cleanings the usual twice a year, fully covered by insurance!! Since periodontal disease is supposedly not reversible (really?!?), I can only attribute this misdiagnosis to a substandard practitioner. Run, don't walk, away from this dentist!!!
