I can't even. Much of the furniture here is infused with the spirit of corporate America in the 1980s. Hard and cold looking with a flair for vulgarity - the overabundance of chrome & glass combinations customized for clichéd cocaine users in movies from or about that period. It's typically not what comes to mind first when I think of making my home feel more like home, you know?
And I get that midcentury modern style is making a comeback, but mostly those pieces just remind me of playing hide-and-seek as a child in my grandparents' home. But in this case I'd rather hide than seek. Instead, we started playing a game of "guess the price," which was highly entertaining, albeit disturbing.
I tried to find just one piece of furniture that I kind of liked, but I failed. The staff here seemed to hover a bit too close for comfort, so I refrained from expressing my true feelings until now. This review is thus written in the spirit of Madonna's 1989 hit single.
