  • They don't even deserve one star--for the new Scottsdale location on Dobson Rd. They lied during the orientation I attended about specific questions I had regarding final exam testing. Now after taking the final exam and not passing I am informed that students are DENIED the chance to review their exam--because in reality, this school isn't here to teach and support you. They're here to frustrate and discourage you. They're here to bash and police you to make you do it "their way" Their way doesn't work for me because I need to become aware of what, specifically, I don't know, so I can LEARN what I need to learn in order to pass the exam. The exam questions are not based on rote memorization. It's conceptual learning that you meed to be able to define via a situation. This way of "teaching" is the equivalent of bashing your head against the wall and expecting a different result-How can a person learn from their mistakes when they don't even know what the mistakes were???!! I'm not allowed to know because the school is more interested in punishing and POLICING me than encouraging my learning and growth. I'm discouraged and disgusted with this program that's nothing more than a pointless, time-wasting exercise in frustration. How can people running a supposedly professional career program be so ignorant, insensitive, self-righteous and small-minded? Not everyone learns in the same way and this school or those running it do NOT recognize this fact. You have to B sensitive to various learning styles if you're truly interested in teaching people and furthering their goals and careers. I'm don't learn by NOT becoming aware of specific deficits in understanding, by not reviewing those questions I missed and NOT learning the concepts of those questions were testing so I can NOT study what I need to learn to pass the test! Then after I took the final exam the first time they changed the entire book, (which was sent to the press before 100 errors were edited out! So the brand new $75 book was printed and sold to new students who have now inherited those 7 pages of 100 errors that they have to change in the book themselves! ) Unbelievable how sloppy, mismanaged, UNPROFESSIONAL this place is. And of course the final exams were also changed to reflect the brand new book they published, which was after more than 10 years of using the same material! An updated edition of the teaching book was long overdue. But not surprisingly, when I called them out on it in an email and spoke to them by phone they DENIED and LIED that changes to the exam were also made-- So almost EVERYTHING I had studied for the past 6 weeks was a waste time and $$$$ because 90% of the content of the questions and vocabulary on the final exam was nothing of what I was told to know and studied even more for!! They're very sloppy with recording your class attendance. So you have to make sure you check in on line every day that you got credit for the classes you attended or you'll be wasting more time retaking them. Frankly, this has been a "BAIT AND SWITCH" OPERATION. They told me exactly what I needed to hear to get me to sign up that night. Once I'm in they've got no INTEGRITY because they don't stand behind their word. And don't be deceived like I was and think that that they give a darn about you LEARNING anything. All they care about is getting your $$$$$-and as much of it as they can. By the tricks$ they play to get your $$ be forewarned. They told me that most people 80% fail the final exam on the first and 2nd attempt with most people taking it more than 3 times before they pass with the required 75% to graduate. Then you qualify for taking the State Exam. This place takes PRIDE in seeing you fail --and even ENJOY seeing their student fail their exams. On the positive side: most of the instructors are very knowledgeable, but it takes more than knowledge to teach. And in my session we had to write down all the notes that are already written in the brand new book. But your book has omitted lots of test questions & vocabulary, too. There was so much to cover that the instructors spoke so quickly you couldn't even write it all down unless were Superwo(man):). The instructors didn't have time to stop and answer your questions or repeat themselves. So many inconsistencies and sloppiness. Now all the instructors have changed too, except for my favorite one...:) Even though we couldn't retain our tests, my UCLA undergrad professors allowed us to review our exams and see what we missed so would know how to better prepare for the final. But here, their policy of denying ADULT students from reviewing their exam when they haven't passed is punishing, demoralizing & counter-intuitive to every learning theory. If you DON'T KNOW what YOU DON'T KNOW, & are denied from knowing, how supported and encouraged are you going to be to continue when you're not yet even a real estate newbie? Other places have much more to offer. Good luck!
