If I was not an experienced traveler renting cars every week, my rating would be lower than a four star rating. I know what to expect and how to avoid it. I can smell do-do before I see it and as a result avoid stepping in it. This rental place is no different than all the budget brands- take reservations for cars they don't have at a great rate until you get there and are forced to pay more or accept a downgrade for same price. They all do it and tried it on me. Fortunately I always book more than one car at several agencies starting with the budget bait and switch brands like advantage. They saw me coming with my Yelp app open to this site and still tried the usual crap. Advice- take pictures of windshield with cell phone both inside car and outside- these are higher mileage cars and I guarantee they all have a few windshield chips or small cracks! My real issue is that they do not give receipts except by email. I have returned the car three days ago and still have not received my receipt. I can not turn in my travel vouchers to get reimbursed until after I get receipt. Come on!
This is an update- five minutes after posting this review I called advantage back and Paul answered the phone. As soon as he verified my rental agreement and my email address he emailed my receipt! The whole process took a minute! I noticed on several other reviews that Paul is mentioned as an employee who knows what he is doing and is concerned about customer satisfaction- Kudos to you Paul and thank you!
