| - Wow, I really missed the north. Okay, actually, I missed the wineries up north. I heard about Narcisi a few times but never had the chance to go. After reconnecting with a friend who we planned to have dinner with, we found that Narcisi was the perfect distance between both of us!
Upon arrival you enter the wine bar area where you are offered three complimentary tastings. They were all super yummy. Warning: they are all VERY sweet. Like REALLY sweet. I used to enjoy these types of wines (when I was in college) but haven't had something that tasted like straight juice in a while. But hey, I'm not complaining, it was delicious.
We made reservations for dinner and were seated at our table after we finished our complimentary wine. Then...we ordered more wine. BOTTLES. Oh yeah. Bottles are only about $13. Yep. We easily downed 3 bottles. By now, it was time for some food.
I ordered the chicken flatbread and my boyfriend had the Bolognese. The flatbread was okay. It tasted a little freezer burnt in my opinion. But, the Bolognese was absolutely divine. I mean hands down five stars. Gosh, how I missed Italian food.
In the summer time they have a patio where apparently you can bring your own food, so I'd love to come back in the warmer weather whenever I'm home for a visit.
Check out this spot if you love wine, love Italian food, and want to get out of the city for a fun night out.
