  • AT&T is a recent addition to Legacy Village, occupying the former residence of the NordicTrack store. An impulse decision brought me here yesterday and I'm glad that I did. You see, for a while now, I've only had the cell phone I was given for work. It's a dated Blackberry Curve with an unstable operating system. Every two days I'm removing the battery to reboot it after it freezes. Aggravation at an all-time high and me recently getting reprimanded at work for going over the alloted text messages persuaded me to look into a personal celly of my own. First off, a little background: I'm a Mac guy. In the land of annoying tech-nerds, Steve Jobs is way cooler, creative and his products more appealing than anything Bill Gates' empire has invented in the last 15 or so years. I've long had a crush on Mac products. I own a Macbook & a Nano. I'm familiar with their superiority over the competition. The next progression was clearly the iPhone. To me, in the land of smartphones, no other phone comes close. In the world of electronics, everyone seems to have a gripe. It's nearly impossible to please everyone no matter what product/service you represent. With that said, have you EVER heard an iPhone owner NOT like their iPhone? I haven't. A friend of mine has a joke. She tell's me, "there are people who don't like the iPhone. You know what I call them? Verizon owners." Touché! So anyways, this past weekend, extending thru yesterday (Oct. 11th), this store was celebrating it's grand opening. A special promotion was being offered: $200 off any new smartphone plus free activation ($36 value). The cost of the phone was paid for up-front, although I was told $200 + activation would be credited on my first or second bill. Good enough for me! I proceeded to get the 16GB 4G iPhone.... essentially for FREE! I was also told that this promo would drop to $100 plus free activation starting today (Oct. 12th). Needless to say, my timing was impeccable! What followed next was an approximate 10 minute activation and registration process. By the time I walked out of the store, my phone was ready to use. Quick and painless to say the least. As for the iPhone, it's everything I ever imagined it'd be, although I'm still learning everything it has to offer, which seems to be nearly limitless.
