| - If you're on a budget and not wishing to pay for a hotel in downtown Toronto, this Best Western will suffice. The prices are affordable, and wifi and parking are free. (Most downtown hotels charge a daily parking fee, and sometimes charge for wifi.)
The room is clean and modern. I was quite impressed with the decor.
I'd give it a better rating but the service needed a little work. My hairdryer was broken, so I reported it to the front desk as I left the building, and the service rep assured me it would get fixed that day. When I returned that evening, it had not been repaired/switched out. The next day, we got a late start on our adventures. According to hotel guidance, if you do need housekeeping services then you need to call housekeeping by 2 PM to let them know. We did exactly that. On our way out, we passed by a housekeeper on our floor to let them know we were going to be gone and that our room would be accessible. The poor housekeeper was frazzled and a tad inconvenienced, reminding us that we were supposed to notify housekeeping/front desk by 2PM - which we did. It wasn't the housekeeper's fault, but someone did not relay the message to her when we called the Housekeeping number. As I passed the front desk, I let the same woman who helped me yesterday know that my hairdryer was still broken. She obviously forgot about my maintenance request but assured me it would be fixed that day. When I returned that evening, a new hairdryer had been installed.
There is a restaurant on the bottom floor, attached to the hotel. If you show your room key, you get 15% off your food bill. Pretty convenient.
Overall, comfortable stay. It's in a location that's convenient to a great variety of local and ethnic food..
