My dad and I went to look at a couple of used mowers with baggers on April 20th. He was in town from Milwaukee and was looking for a used mower for the cottage. We spoke to a sales guy about a price on a used Simplicity that was not marked. He said it was between $700 and $1000. I said I'd be back the next day to compare it to a larger Simplicity that was already marked at $1999.
I went back on the 21st and met with a different sales guy, who now said the price was $1300! Besides that, the front tires are nearly bald and he said that they would not replace them even though they only have about a season left to them. He also seemed very put out, like I was wasting his time trying to do research on these two mowers before we would buy them (getting hours, checking the engine, tires, etc.)
So if you want varying prices and lackluster salespeople who have better things to do than let you research and ask questions on used mowers, and you want a used mower that's priced the same as a new mower elsewhere, then PPC is your place to shop.
We decided to go elsewhere.
