| - I have been here 3 times now and have tried a variety of flavors. I really like Jalapeno Ranch. The salt and vinegar and loaded potato were good at first, but got a bit gross the more I ate - a little too rich for me. I have bought a few of the different candied ones for my kids in their favorite colors, and the confetti one that is a mix of all of the sweet ones is a big hit - kind of like a bag of Jelly Bellies of the popcorn world. The chocolate popcorn is pricey but very tasty, and the Puppy Chow (which includes peanut butter, chocolate, and I think caramel) is a super indulgent treat!
I took one star off because of consistency on the cheese/savory popcorn (no issues with the sweet flavors). My Baked Potato bag this visit seemed very chewy - it might be the process they prepare it with or the thicker coating, but I questioned if it was stale because in the past, my savory popcorn bags were not that chewy. And the last time I got a bag of Jalapeno Ranch (my second time buying this flavor), I was really disappointed because of the amount of small, broken kernels. I felt like I was eating a bag of smashed up old popcorn, not anything freshly popped then seasoned. 1/2 of my bag did not contain a full sized kernel. If I wasn't busy the week I bought it, I probably would have actually taken my bag of broken popcorn and crumbs back and complained for a replacement. I am still a fan and will be back, but some quality control is needed.
This is an awesome gift for anyone though! They do really cute gift boxes, or you can save some money and spend more on popcorn by preparing your own gift bag if you think your friend would appreciate another bag of popcorn instead of a $4-$7 box. :) I highly recommend this as a gift for those people where you want to bring them something, but you don't want to over-do it. (Like if you are going to dinner at someone's house, a birthday party, etc. and want to bring them something other than a boring bottle of wine.)
