My wife wanted to get her new purple cashmere sweater dry cleaned. So, I took the sweater to Summit Cleaners. When we picked up the sweater we noticed that there was a hole in the sweater. I went to the store to inform them that the sweater was damaged. The manager was not available at the time so the rep said the manager will contact me back. The manager never called me back so I had to go back to the store to ask the status of the complaint. The owner's response was basically that the sweater had a lot of damage on it and he wont replace it. This was absolutely ridiculous since the sweater is BRAND new!!! There was no hole in the sweater before we took it there for dry cleaning. We would not make a big deal of this, but the sweater was expensive so we are asking for funds to replace her damaged sweater. If I knew this is how this business operates I would have gone somewhere else and not waste my time. Just want to let others know that if something goes wrong with your clothes the Owner will not take responsibility and just brush you off. I filed a complaint with BBB.
