  • Here's the thing: No one is going to clean your place as well as you will. To expect this is unrealistic. Which is why I've been a client of Affordable Maids for seven years. Both my husband and I have demanding jobs and the last thing we want to do in our off-time is clean. Do I want to spend time on the weekends scrubbing my floors? No. Do I want to scrape toothpaste from my son's sink in my free time? No. Do I want to clean my shower instead of spending time with my family? Not really. Do I want to deal with toilets? Hell to the no. That's why I outsource the BASICS to Affordable Maids. I don't expect the team to clean my radiators with a Q-Tip or shine up the inside of my fireplace or clean my blinds. A team from Affordable Maids comes twice a month and takes care of the things I don't want to do, thus keeping my home and sanity under control. Yes, I still have to do some dusting and clean cat snot off of the windows between visits, but that's life. Team members are exceptionally nice, lovely, friendly and respectful. They arrive within a designated window of time and in about an hour, two or three team members get the job done. I've been doing this for SEVEN YEARS and I can say without a doubt, they are consistently good (I've used other services -- there's no comparison). Yes, stuff happens ... a toothbrush cup and a picture frame were broken a few years back. The toothbrush cup was replaced without question. The picture frame was cruddy anyway. If I did all this myself, it's time I'd never get back. I spend a couple thousand dollars a year to have my house cleaned and it's worth every penny.
