  • I've been to an acupuncturist before so I knew what to expect. The concept at modern is a little different. Instead of being in a room alone you're in a large, dimly lite room filled with recliners on either side. Before entering you'll take an assessment so that once you go through this cool door ( out of a Harry Potter movie) you are instructed what recliner to go to. My acupuncturist Billy welcomed me once I was seated and asked if I had any questions and then he began to insert the needles. I'm always a little nervous ( I feel like a pen cushion) but he was so good none of them hurt even after he adjusted them. I was able to relax and honestly once I was done I felt great. Before you leave you're given your choice of teas prepared cold or hot. The atmosphere and everyone were very pleasant. If you're not opposed to being in a room with others for your session this is the place to go. It was a good experience and I'd definitely come back.
