  • DO NOT TRUST THIS PLACE....HERE'S WHY. I had my brakes done here 6 months ago and spent about 1000$ to get it done. That time while I was waiting, I looked at the reviews for this place. There was so many bad reviews I wanted them to stop the work. They talked me into going through with the work. They told they were using high quality product. Now 6 months later my brakes are done. I can feel the metal grinding. Now they say it's not there fault and they want me to spend more money on new calipers and brake pads and other things. That's such bullshit when I got these done 6 months ago. I told the guy there was something fishy going on here. So I asked them to reprint of my receipt. I wanted to take it to a different mechanic see if they used high quality material like they said. When I told him what I was gonna do. He changed his tone and told me he will replace my brake pads for free if I got new calipers. That still didn't sit right with me. I didn't want to get ripped off again. So I left. I made a phone call to Kal tire on Dundas and Bloor to inquire about how much calipers were. The lady was nice and told me to bring my van in. They checked out my braking system and said my calipers where fine and wasn't seized. They told me the problem was cheap brake pads. That wore out way to quickly. I never been so pissed. Active Green and Ross should be ashamed of themselves. In hindsight I should of listened to the reviews and left the first time when I felt they were being dishonest. I probably didn't need to get all that work done to my brakes the first time. All I needed was brake pads probably. I posted the picture of the receipt from active green and Ross and the receipt from Kal tires. I can't believe they tried to rip me off a second time. No wonder the place is always dead. Another note I want to make was the owner said to me while I was talking to him was he wasn't into the mechanic thing anymore because it was hard to keep up with the technology. That should of been a red flag. I guess that's what I deserve for being so stupid. I'll be writing to head office soon and see what they have to say.
