| - Our trouble with Grand Canyon Tour Company began before we even set foot in Las Vegas.
I'll spare you the long details, but we had an issue with credit card security after using their website that resulted in fraudlent charges on several members of our party's credit cards. Naturally, we wanted to be reimbursed or somehow compensated for the inconvenience (a courtesy extended by most major companies in cases such as these). Through phone calls we discovered that the company knows about the security issue, as it is city-wide.
Given this knowledge, customers should be warned, at a minimum, and there should be other, more secure payment options like Paypal. Eventually, my friend took her complaints all the way up to the President of the company Karen Rancilio.
Rancilio called my friend a "FAT IDIOT" and said that she was making a big deal out of nothing because they didn't do anything wrong.
Regardless of who is or isn't to blame in this situation, it is never appropriate for an employee, much less the head of a company to interact with patrons in this manner. We will all be cancelling our reservations (for which they will charge us all a $35 "processing fee," BTW), and I would encourage anyone else to avoid any business dealings with this company. President Rancilio demonstrates a clear lack of respect for the company's customers.
